Welcome International Students

Many International students enjoy the quiet, small town atmosphere provided by Coffeyville Community College.  Students with limited English ability also benefit from small classes and experienced teachers in English as a Second Language.  Coffeyville Community College also provides numerous services to International students such as transportation from the Tulsa International Airport when you arrive.

Coffeyville Community College has a long and successful history of serving the needs of international students.  Coffeyville Community College has attracted students from around the world including: Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Germany, Togo, Nicaragua, Bulgaria, Colombia, Germany, Guatemala, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Peru, Venezuela and the Ukraine.  Some of these students come from ELS Language Centers across the nation.

These students work, live and study with students from every part of the United States as well as within the local community. Coffeyville Community College can provide you with a comprehensive English language development program to improve your written, oral and/or listening skills. Furthermore, we will assist you with living on campus.

International CoordinatorMarla Larimore

Marla Larimore - International Coordinator has a Bachelor's a Master’s Degree from PSU. She has been employed at CCC since January, 1995, and moved to her current position July 1st, 1997. The International Coordinator at Coffeyville Community College also works as the Assessment Coordinator. She is an instructor of Orientation, algebra, and ESL classes.  Some of the duties include: the initial contact with International students, sending out information about the college, reviewing transcripts and other paperwork, sending I-20s, setting up transportation for students, enrolling students, organizing the International club, and assisting the students with transfer information or other needs-such as applications for Practical Training or Work Permits.

Larimore also helps students relate to the community by participation in her MATCH program. (My American Traditional College Home). The goal of this group is to pair each International Student with a member and/or family of the Coffeyville area. This is a great way to share cultures. She also encourages International students to accompany her to present programs to area groups.

Requirements for admission are:

  1. Completed application for admission
  2. Transfer Student Application (if you have attended other post high school in America)
  3. $100 I-20/admission fee (in U.S. dollars), non-refundable
  4. $100 Residence Hall deposit (in U.S. dollars), for on-campus housing students
  5. Dorm Contract and Immunization Record/Waiver Form
  6. Official school transcripts in English, high school and above
  7. Statement of financial resources, indicating at least $9,925 available for each year of attendance
  8. Proof of American Health Insurance (We recommend. . .and have enrollment forms for The Harbour Group. . .www.hginsurance.com)
  9. TOEFL score of 450 or ESL level 7 suggested*

*Coffeyville Community College also has a comprehensive English-as-a-second language program.

New students PLEASE NOTE the following message:

SEVIS NOTICE September 2, 2004

The SEVIS I-901 fee went into effect September 1, 2004. The payment website at www.fmjfee.com is operational. New students and exchange visitors with a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 issued on or after September 1, 2004 are subject to the fee. Continuing students and exchange visitors are not required to pay the fee except under certain circumstances. For complete information on who needs to pay the fee (or does not need to) see the SEVP website at
http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/faq.htm. There is a complete list of questions and answers on all aspects of SEVIS I-901 fee payment.

Semester Starting Dates:

Fall 2007: August 14, 2007
Spring 2008: January 9, 2007
