#2 Ravens handle Scotties on the road, 95-79

Charles Hammork led the Ravens with 26 points in Wednesday night's 95-79 win at Highland. The Ravens are now 9-0 in Jayhawk East play and 20-1 overall.
The trip to Highland had potential for an upset of the #2 ranked Ravens. A quality team playing at home with the Ravens enduring their longest conference road trip of the season. Don't worry, though, the Ravens were more than ready for the challenges.
Coffeyville led 50 to 38 at the half and were never threatened the second half on the way to a 95-79 win over the Scotties. Charles Hammork scored 26 points to lead the offensive barrage. Marquis Cuyler and Chadrack Lufile scored 12 points each and Colby Carr had 11 points. Jelani Poston just missed double figures with nine points. The Scotties' De'Andre Upchurch scored 40 points to keep Highland in the game. Upchurch came into the game averaging nearly 25 points per game.
The Ravens improve to 9-0 in Jayhawk East play and to 20-1 overall on the season. The Ravens' last started 20-1 in the 2001-2002 season. The Ravens went on to finish as national runner-up at the NJCAA National Tournament.
The Ravens have another road test on Saturday night when they make the 15 mile drive to Independence to play the Pirates. Tip off is at 8 p.m. at the ICC Fieldhouse. The Ravens return home on Wednesday night when they will host Labette at 8 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
