CCC Rodeo Duo Take Top Prize at K-State Rodeo

Cale Markham receives his top buckle for winning the Kansas Lottery Championship Rodeo Series from Dr. R.C. Trotter, Chair of the Kansas Association of Rodeo Committees.

Coffeyville Community College Sophomores Cale Markham and Parker Warner split the first place title at the Kansas State University College Rodeo February 17-19th to help land the CCC Rodeo team in second place. Markham and Warner are both headers that team rope with different heeling partners to be successful at their sport.
Markham placed first in the long round with a time of 5.1 seconds and second in the short round with a time of 7.2 seconds. Warner placed third in the long round with a time of 6.4 seconds and first in the short round with a time of 5.9 seconds, giving them both a combined time of 12.3 seconds and tying them for first place.
This was a great ending to an already good weekend where Markham was awarded the Kansas Lottery Championship Rodeo Series Winner by the Kansas Association of Rodeo Committees (KARC). Markham was awarded a Championship buckle and a $1,100 bonus for having a winning average at Kansas rodeos this season.
