Coffeyville Community College Counselor Delia Northup was named the President of the Kansas College Counseling Association (KCCA).  The KCCA is a division of the Kansas Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association. 

Northup will serve from July of 2013 to June of 2014.  She has been involved with the organization since its inception in 2008.  Her team will meet this year to discuss policy changes and legislative issues that affect college counselors and the students they serve as well as discuss other trends in the industry.  This fall the KCCA will send her to the American College Counseling Association Conference in New Orleans, LA. 

Northup has been with CCC for nine years and has served as the counselor for the past six years.  Northup spends most of her time at CCC counseling students on their academic plan but also talks with students who might be experiencing difficulties both personally or academically.  She serves as the head of the campus CARE team and is in charge of the student orientation classes as well.
