Coffeyville Community College welcomes Chris Douthit as the new Head Athletic Trainer for campus athletes.  Douthit has spent the past five years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California.  Prior to that Douthit was a student trainer while at Orange Coast College and Long Beach State.  He has his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach and master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.

Douthit has lived in Whitier, California for his entire life until moving to Coffeyville for this opportunity.  But Douthit’s family has Coffeyville ties, his grandfather; Howard J. was originally from Coffeyville and actually sports the last name of Coffey.  Douthit is an avid hunter and fisherman and does not miss the fast pace of California.
