Lockwood and Price Selected as Phi Theta Kappa Student of the Month for CCC

CCC students Dalton Lockwood and Mercades Price were selected as the October Student of the Month for the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.  Both students have demonstrated leadership abilities in the planning of the Southern District Conference hosted at CCC last month.

Dalton Lockwood is attending CCC with the goal of transferring to Oklahoma State University and obtaining his degree in Electrical Engineering.  He is active on the track team and with Phi Theta Kappa.    As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Lockwood has actively participated in stadium clean-up and planning of the Southern District Conference.  He graduated from Caney Valley High School and is the son of Larry and Catherine Lockwood.

Mercades Price hopes to transfer to Missouri Southern or Pittsburg State University and obtain her degree in Biology.  She is at CCC on a Theatre scholarship and is active on the dance team and in Phi Theta Kappa.  As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Price has participated in the National Honors Institute, helped organize the Southern District Conference and helps at clean-up activities at the Stadium and the Fairgrounds.  Mercades is the daughter of Wendy Price and JayDee Nunneley and a graduate of Caney Valley High School.
