Warner to Play Songs that Make a Difference

Steve Warner paints vivid pictures of people and places with his colorful songs.  His lyrical word play can intrigue and inspire, make you laugh and sometimes cry.  A common thread in all of his songs is that they are universally accessible.  Warner has numerous credits and awards including multiple covers of his songs by other artists.

Warner and his band, The Rolling Coyotes, perform regularly throughout the mid-Atlantic region and beyond performing at various venues.  Warner also tours solo and has taught songwriting workshops.  He has conducted numerous workshops at The New Song Festival, Summer Songs, and Craftworks.  He has judged several contests, including the prestigious Songwriters Association of Washington’s Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

Warner’s tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, April 23rd at the Coffeyville Meal Site, Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24th. He will continue his tour of Coffeyville with Windsor Place, Windsor Place SCU and the Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Tuesday.  Wednesday he will entertain residents at Pickwick Place, Asbury Village and the Dale Apartments followed by the students at Caney Valley High School on Thursday and the Caney Nursing Home and Guest Home Estates in Caney on Friday.

The public is invited to the 10:20 a.m. Tuesday Humanities performances at CCC.  The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.  For more information call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
