Tom Kastle Performs at CCC the Week of October 10

Tom Kastle takes his audience on a journey through America’s waterways, from sea to shining sea and a few in between.  This Mid-western waterman, singer and storyteller has spent over two decades “on the road” and “on the water.”  Kastle has performed in the U.S., Canada, Europe and New Zealand and has several recordings.  He is also a US Coast Guard licensed captain and frequently makes his living at the helm of tall ships on the Great Lakes.  When ashore he is a writer and narrator for the Candid Concert Opera Company and lives in a 19th century log cottage on the shore of Lake Mendota.

Kastle’s tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, October 10th at the Coffeyville Meal Site, Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11th. Kastle will continue his tour of Coffeyville with Windsor Place, Windsor Place SCU and the Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Tuesday.  Wednesday he will entertain residents at Asbury Village and Manor House followed by the students at Caney Valley High School on Thursday and the Caney Nursing Home and Guest Home Estates in Caney on Friday.

The public is invited to the 10:20 a.m. Tuesday Humanities performances at CCC.  The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.  For more information call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
