CCC cheer and dance teams to offer Junior Raven Spirit Squad

The Coffeyville Community College cheer and dance teams will once again offer a Junior Raven Spirit Squad for children in grades K-6.
 
The cost this school year will be $75 per participant, or $40 per returning participant. The fee includes uniform, poms, hair bow, certificate, and DVD.

The first practice is scheduled for October 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Practices thereafter, one or two per month through February, will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Practices will include technical dance training, instruction on proper cheer motions and jumps, choreography taught by Red Raven dancers, cheers and chants, and team bonding activities.

Participants will also perform at halftime during three men’s basketball games, cheer on the sideline at three women’s basketball games, and make an appearance during Red Raven Holiday on November 18.

An end of year banquet will be held in which participants will be given awards and a DVD of all performances.
