Four Ravens make all-conference team

Sophomore pitcher Elliott Velasquez was one of four Red Raven baseball players to make the 2011 All-Conference Team.

Four Ravens were named to Jayhawk East All-Conference Team in 2011. Sophomore Conar Kreis was named second team at first base. Kreis hit .340 with a team leading four homers. Kreis also had 21 RBI’s during the regular season. Sophomore lefty pitcher Elliott Velasquez was also a second team selection. Velasquez was 5-5 with a 3.99 ERA this past regular season. In 70 innings, Velasquez struck out 49 and walked just 16 batters.

A pair of freshmen right-handed pitchers were honorable mention selections, Cole Webb and Drew Noble. Webb was 4-3 with a 3.27 ERA this past season. In nearly 72 innings, Webb struck out a team high 59 batters while allowing only 64 hits. Noble was 5-2 with a 4.55 ERA. In 63 innings, Noble struck out 39 and walked just 17.
