Jerrid Schicke Hired as Women's Soccer Coach

July 22, 2014

A former Red Raven soccer athlete will take over the reins of the Coffeyville Community College women's soccer program in 2014. Jerrid Schicke, who played for the Raven men's soccer team in 2005, was recently hired to take over the Red Raven women's program.

Previous to Coffeyville, Schicke started the women's soccer program at Pratt Community College and served four seasons as head coach before moving on to Coffeyville.

Schicke coached at fellow Jayhawk conference school Independence Community College for two seasons before starting the program at Pratt.

Schicke's playing college career started at Bethel College, helping the Threshers to a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) championship appearance. While there, he was the team's second leading scorer before a medical setback sidelined him for two seasons.

Schicke resumed his college career as the captain of Coffeyville Community College's inaugural men's soccer team in 2005. After a strong year competing in the Jayhawk Conference, Schicke transferred to the University of Sioux Falls, S. D. for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Schicke recorded seven goals and six assists in his collegiate career and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Sioux Falls in 2008.

Schicke has a USSF national "D" license and completed his Master in Education/Sports Psychology in the Spring of 2011.
