Perry Named Region VI Men's Track Coach of the Year

Coffeyville Community College Head Track Coach was awarded Region VI Men's Coach of the Year by his peers at the 2012 Region VI Track and Field Championships that wrapped up on May 5 at Hutchinson. Perry is in his fifth year as head coach at Coffeyville. In his career, Perry has had five athletes win either outdoor or indoor national championships.

Perry is a CCC alumnus and competed in cross country and track and field as a 5,000 meter runner. He was also part of the national qualifying 4 x 800 meter relay team his sophomore year. Perry was an Academic All-American at CCC in 2003 and 2004 and was a member of the 2003 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year in cross country.
