Raven Golfers End Season at District III Championship

The Coffeyville Community College men's golf team ended their season on Tuesday at the District III Championship played at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas. The course is a par 72, 7359 yard layout.

Gable LaForge, a sophomore from Caney, was the top finisher for Coffeyville. LaForge placed 25th indivually out of 69 golfers competing. LaForge shot rounds of 76, 82 and 77 for a 54-hole total of 235.

The Ravens placed seventh overall at tournament which was the national tournament qualifying event. Indian Hills (Iowa) won the tournament with a one-under-par team total of 863. Dodge City was second with a team total of 904 and Hutchinson was third at 906.

Indian Hills had the top three medalists in the tournament. Ben Ludlam was first with a four-under-par total of 212. Ludlam shot rounds of 70, 71 and 71. William White was second with a 214 total and Monty Lack placed third with a three-round total of 215.
