Ravens to open 2012 season at Hutchinson
December 8, 2011
A new two year schedule cycle for Jayhawk Conference football teams has introduced some changes to the Red Raven schedule. Instead of opening against a Texas junior college as the Ravens have done the past six seasons, the Ravens will open the 2012 at Hutchinson on Aug. 25. The following week, the Ravens will host Trinity Valley (Texas) in the home opener on Sept 1. Additional home games will be Sept. 22 against Independence, Oct. 6 versus Highland and Oct. 13 against Dodge City.
Although the Ravens traveled to Butler in 2011, the new two year schedule cycle has the Ravens playing in El Dorado for a second consecutive year. Coffeyville and Butler will clash on Oct. 20 and will potentially play in the Grizzlies new facility under construction across the street from Butler Community College. Butler will travel to Coffeyville in 2013 to complete the two year schedule cycle.
