Three Ravens Receive All-Conference Accolades

The Coffeyville Red Ravens, who finished the 2014 season with a 23-9 record, were well represented on the 2014 Jayhawk East All-Conference team. Sophomore guard Earl Peterson was named first team All-Conference. Sophomore forward Montel James was selected team team and sophomore guard Mike Martin was named honorable mention.
Peterson also received first team All-Region and James honorable mention All-Region accolades.
In 32 games, Peterson, had the fourth highest scoring average in Jayhawk East conference games, averaging 18.3 points per game in 12 league games. Overall, Peterson averaged a team-high 16.7 points per game in 32 total games. Peterson was second in the league in free throw shooting. Peterson made 148 of 173 free throw attempts for an 85.5% success rate at the charity stripe.
James was tenth in Jayhawk Conference game scoring, averaging 13.8 points per league contest. Overall, James averaged 13.4 points and five rebounds per game in 25 contests.
Martin averaged 9.7 points in 32 games for the Ravens. Martin led the team in assists with 97, steals with 52 and three-point shooting. Martin made 53 of 129 attempts from beyond the arc, good for a 41.1% success rate.
All three players were key contributors to last season's perfect 18-0 Jayhawk East championship team that went on to a 32-3 overall record and an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament.
