Student conductors featured at music concert

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Concert Choir and Wind Ensemble will present a concert featuring student conductors and combined selections with the band and choir. The concert will be held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. The student conductors featured include Sherri Allen of Independence, Kan.; Julie Hessig of Coffeyville, Kan.; Kyle Schlotfelt of Coffeyville, Kan. and Rachael Vann of Wichita, Kan. The concert will feature pieces of varying styles ranging from patriotic to religious works. One choral piece will feature new harpist, Teresa Wheeler. The doors open at 1:30 p.m. for the one hour concert. The concert is free to the public and donations will be accepted.
