Field Biology course to explore Grand CanyonIt is one of the best ways to learn about biology in an extreme hands-on experience. Following a one year hiatus, the Grand Canyon Field Biology course at Coffeyville Community College (CCC) is back. Vice President for Learning, Alysia Johnston and Biology instructor, Don Barker, will lead 20 students from the top of the canyon through five ecosystems and multiple temperature changes, spend three nights camping and traveling the inner canyon before hiking back out. This three credit hour class is perfect for adults looking for continuing education science credits or college students needing elective credit hours. The course includes a $350 fee in addition to tuition. Students will leave on May 11, 2008 and return a week later. There is a limit on the class, so sign up early.
