Red Raven judging teams take top honors at National Western 

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Livestock and Meats Judging Teams placed high at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colo. this January.  Named overall Reserve Champions, the Meats Judging team, led by Coach Tyler Hickman, continued their winning streak. 

The Red Raven Livestock Judging Team took Reserve Champion honors in the Carload Judging Contest and fifth overall out of 32 teams from all across the country. 

“To my knowledge, in the 16 years that I have been coaching this is the first time that I can remember a team placing in the top five in all three contest areas at the National Western,” said Livestock Judging Coach, Brian Anderson.  “While we each would have liked to have won, we will continue to build upon our accomplishments.  I truly believe that our students when representing Coffeyville Community College are the most professionally mannered and responsible students at each of the contests we attend.”
