CCC hosts Open House

2007 Open House Photo Album

Coffeyville Community College (CCC) hosted its Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 7.  Over 200 people visited the campus to take part in the 18 interactive booths and watch demonstrations by the dance, cheer, choral music and band departments.

All three campuses including the Coffeyville and Columbus Technical campuses were represented.  Visitors were interviewed for the Red Zone news, made nylon with the Math/Science Department, checked out the hissing cockroaches at the agriculture display, tried their hand at pottery at the art demonstration and hammered nails for a chance to win a t-shirt at the construction booth.

Things heated up with the welding department and fire science displays.  The automotive departments showed their talent while the web design students brought their websites on-line.  Students taped ankles at the athletic training booth and learned more about the Native American Leadership program.  Visitors built a simple network with the computer networking department and things were shocking with the electrical students.

Students from nearly 10 local high schools attended the event.  For more information about the variety of programs offered at CCC call 1-800-782-4732.
