CCC Theatre Alumni Enter the World of Professional TheatreFormer Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Theatre student, Zac Freisberg of Caney, Kan., (last seen at the CCC Rubber Chicken Factory improv show in October) has moved to Chicago and enrolled in the professional Second City improvisational school. Zac follows in the footsteps of Drew Current (2003) who graduated from The Second City School this year and Chris Cameron (2003) who also is attending the school. Three more students, Michelle Bringle, James Hart and Dustin Morby all plan to attend The Second City School next summer following graduation from CCC. According to Theatre Director Mark Frank, CCC now has 12-15 former theatre students doing professional theatre around the country. Some CCC alumni are writing for The Conan O’ Brian Late Show, and some are auditioning for Saturday Night Live producer, Lorne Michael. Many former students feel their two-year professional theatre training at CCC prepares them to go after a career as a professional actor and compares CCC theatre program to an intense two-year professional conservatory. “No other community college prepares their students for the professional world better than CCC,” said theatre alumus, Chris Cameron.
