The Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa selected its two co-vice presidents of scholarship as Outstanding Members of the Month.  Honored at the September 19 Board of Trustees meeting was Meaghan Rettele of Coffeyville and Courtney Crane of Wichita.

Meaghan is a graduate of Field Kindley High School where she was selected class valedictorian.  At Coffeyville Community College, Meaghan is a Presidential Honors Scholar and is a member of the Honors Program in addition to serving as a Phi Theta Kappa officer.  Meaghan is a pre-pharmacy major.  She enjoys playing the piano as well as teaching piano lessons.  Meaghan is the daughter of Garrick and Mary Rettele of Coffeyville.

Courtney Crane is a graduate of Wichita East High School where she was active in several sports programs.  At CCC, she is majoring in pre-veterinary science.  She is manager for the softball team and holds a digital media scholarship.  Courtney was one of six Phi Theta Kappa members selected to serve as a social media intern at International Honors Institute at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Courtney's parents are Randell and Christine Crane of Wichita.

Meaghan and Courtney are providing the research leadership to the chapter's Honors in Action Project, "How do Pilgrimages Reconstruct the Memory of Others' Histories While Validating Assumptions About Their Truth in a Global Society?"
