The story of the play begins at 3:00 a.m. with a lightning storm raging outside a house in Casper, Wyoming. Big 8 is again telling Rob Bob the story of her forced departure from the rodeo circuit and her subsequent career as a healer.  Rob Bob is visiting Big 8 to be healed from his injuries after a fall in the rodeo. 

The story takes off when Rob Bob gets his first look at Shedevil, who arrives in the middle of the storm. She is looking for Big 8's son, claiming he fathered the child she is carrying. She says he ran off shortly after their marriage with $17,000, all of Shedevil's savings.

It is love at first sight for Rob Bob, and he begs Big 8 to help her out. Big 8 initially refuses, but finally agrees that Shedevil can stay for the rest of the night.

Shedevil tells them she is being pursued by Black Dog, her current lover. She swears that Black Dog will kill her and everyone else he finds with her. The next morning Big 8's sister, Shirl, shows up.

Black Dog finally arrives, forcing the household to take action to save themselves. When Shirl‘s boyfriend, Baxter Blue, who also happens to be a deputy sheriff, shows up, the play shifts from "B"-Western to horror flick.

The cast included Zac Freisberg as Rob Bob, Venessa Freeman as Big 8, Laura Michael as Shirl, Kerri Davis as Shedevil, Dustin Morby as Black Dog, Matt Williams as Baxter Blue, and James Hart as Memphis Donnie Pride. Julia Crane and Marissa Lopez are the stage managers.
