Joan by Donna Kaz will be presented by the Coffeyville Community College Theatre Department February 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. Joan, a dynamic and exhilarating play, recreates the 570 year old story of the peasant girl, Joan of Arc, who was called by God to lead an army to help crown a king, and was burned at the stake for her efforts only to later be proclaimed a saint.

The play is performed by an ensemble of six talented college actresses who each play a variety of roles. The cast includes, Ashley Good from Mound Valley who plays the title role, Joan of Arc. Other cast members include Megan Stoneberger from Parsons, Ashley Kemp from Parsons, Julie Dumler from Independence, Cindy Paasch from Goddard, and Laura Michael from Kansas City. Venessa Freeman from Kansas City is the understudy. Julia Cuellar from Newton is the stage manager and Brett Kochenower from Newton is the assistant stage manager. Stuart Wolf from Topeka is the lighting designer. The play is directed by Theatre Director, Mark Frank.
