Seussical, the Musical set for July 28-31

Coffeyville Children’s Summer Theatre held auditions July 2 for Seussical, the Musical.  Sixty-two children ages 6-17 from Coffeyville and surrounding areas were cast.

The cast includes Cooper Smart as the Cat in the Hat, Raisa Hoggatt as JoJo, Shelbi Hilton as Thing #1, Kim Dodson as Thing #2, Sarah Graham as the fish, Zac Smith as Horton, Shawna Downing as the Sour Kangaroo, Courtlynn Rose as the Baby Kangaroo, Katelyn Neely as Mayzie La Bird, Crystal Amberg as Gertrude McFuzz, Hannah Graham as the Elephant Bird, Edward Bass as the Mayor of Whoville, Torey Smart as the Mayor’s Wife, Alec Rigdon as Yertle the Turtle, Kari Vannoster as Vlad Vladikoff, Ryon Lawson as the Grinch, Nick Roesky as Max the Dog, Colton Davy as General Gengus Kahn Schmidt.

Cast as the Wickersham Brothers are Aaron Golden, Brandon Golden and Andrea Smith.  The Bird Girls are Sarah Rinkenbaugh, Stevie Davy, Danielle Tongier, Tara O’Brian, Rachel Linnebur, Sarah Unruh, Mariah Lovett, and Sammy Hilton.

Plating Cadets and circus performers are Jeremiah Todd, Matt Roesky, Ryon Lawson, Dustin Davy, and Tommy Henderson.  Playing fish and jungle animals are Pricella Bunt, Madison Bush, Abbie Herkelman, Paige Porter, Caitlyn Marshall, Crystal King, Andrea Bunt, and Stephanie Meyers.

The Who’s are Hannah Golden, Mary Hinds, Brittany Lay (Cindy Lou Who), Krista Dutton, Taylor Adamson, Courtney Knight, Hannah Wilson, Hannah Graham, Mandy Schwenker, Heather Rogers, Jessica Parrish, Brooke Bennett, Baily Naden, Katie Vannoster, Emily Beye, Courtney Berg, Morgan Porter, Sarah Doring, Melody Harrell, McKenzie Clay, Jebidiah Parrish, Matt Roesky, and Todd Henderson.

Children’s Summer Theatre is in its eleventh season.  Mark Frank is the Artistic Director and Darla Strecker is the Musical Director.  Sarah Owen is the Assistant Director and Samantha Bruce is the Stage Manager.

The musical will be staged at Coffeyville Community College July 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. and July 31 at 2 p.m.  All performances are in the Spencer/Rounds Performing Arts Theatre.

Tickets go on sale July 18 at the Pat and Willard Walker Center and will cost $6 for adults ($8 middle section) and $3 for students.  Children under 12 will be admitted for $2.  Tickets are available at the CCC Alumni Center and will also be available at the door.  Please call 620-252-7070 or 620-252-7575 to buy tickets.  It is suggested that tickets are reserved early since each performance of the musical will sell out.
