Ballroom	Ballroom Ceiling

The Ballroom, with a hand stenciled ceiling, stretches the full length of the Mansion.  As on the other floors, there are openings for the elevator and the fire hose. The hooks in the ceiling were for Donald’s and Mr. Brown’s gym equipment.

The recess on the north side of the Ballroom was for the band. One of the doors opening off this recess was originally a half-bath. Another opening from this recess leads to the roof of the portico.

The many short doors opening off the Ballroom lead into storage areas which run almost entirely around the ballroom. Today, many different items such as dishes, magazines and other memorable items are displayed in the ballroom.
