AdvisorsLinda McFate
Linda McFate is the advisor for the Etta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas. Mrs. McFate has been the advisor of the Eta Gamma Chapter since November 12, 1993. She has received the International Paragon Award for New Advisors, the International Giles Award for Advisors, and has been the recipient of the International Continued Excellence for Advisors for several years. Mrs. McFate has served as an international faculty scholar for the International Honors Institute at Georgia Tech University. She has served on the Kansas Regional Advisory Committee. She has a Masters degree from Oklahoma State University, a BS degree from Oklahoma State University , and an AA degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College . During the last 14 years, the Etta Gamma Chapter at Coffeyville Community College has had New Century, lst, 2nd, and 3rd Team Members on the ALL-USA Academic Teams. Several Guistwhite Scholars, Leaders of Promise Scholars and Coca Cola Scholars have also been selected from this local chapter. Mrs. McFate was the 2001-2002 Educator of the Year for Coffeyville, Kansas in the Post-Secondary Education Division and the 1990 Educator of the Year for Coffeyville. Both awards were presented by the Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce. Assistant Advisor
