Humanities Project: Dana Robinson to Perform "Songs of the American Landscape" at CCC on April 12

Dana Robinson.

Coffeyville Community College welcomes Dana Robinson to the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on Tuesday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m. Admission is free.

Dana Robinson is celebrating his twentieth year of national and international touring. With guitar, fiddle, and mandolin, his sound is a melting pot of Appalachian, British and rural American influences. His performances show a deep understanding of America’s musical heritage by blending contemporary songwriting and pulling from traditional Appalachian music.

Dana’s program, “Songs of the American Landscape,” portrays our country, as seen from our dusty blue highways, riverbanks, mountains trails, and from car windows rolling along the interstate.  Dana’s songs and stories are snapshots of history, and vignettes of unsung events that have shaped the fabric of our lives.  Cowboys, miners, moonshiners, riverboats, trains, migrant workers, and explorers of all stripes populate Dana’s "Songs of the American Landscape" program.
