Coffeyville, if you notice, is spelt Coffey and not Coffee. The reason
is simple. The founder's name was Col. James A. Coffey, not Juan
Valdez. Coffeyville will always be linked to the infamous Dalton gang.
Coffeyville has indeed had a colorful history.
