Clarence Ray has been working with students as a Construction Technology Instructor for the past fifteen years.  Ray brings residential and commercial construction experience to the program.  Prior to beginning his teaching career, Ray gained his experience growing up in a family construction company and then graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  He worked 13 years for a Fortune 500 company, formerly known as Viox Services and also worked for Carnegie Construction.  Ray taught at two high schools in Ohio and the Gateway Community & Technical school in Northern Kentucky before coming to CCC.

Ray is a certified NCCER Instructor, OSHA 10 and 30 hour Instructor and can teach CPR.  He enjoys getting the students the skills they need to go to work in the field and encourages each one to get their degree.  The Construction Technology program has tackled several projects in the past years.  In 2012, students built the Multi-Purpose facility for CCC.  This building gave students experience on a new construction project from beginning to end.  Students have also aided Habitat for Humanity, remodeled the CCC board office, built the Polar Express parade float and built several items for the CCC Foundation Scholarship Benefit. In 2014, students are working to assist local business Kansas Lumber in the building of their new facility.
