CCC Music Department Schedules Three Spring Concerts

The sound of music will be in the air on the CCC campus this spring as the music department has announced the dates to three spring concerts.

The first concert will be the Instrumental Showcase Concert on Wednesday, April 25. This concert will feature the Wind Ensemble, Novelty Percussion Ensemble and the West African Drum and Dance Ensemble. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Nellis Hall West Gym.

The second concert will be the CCC Choral Music Concert on Thursday, April 26. Groups performing include the Raven Soundsations show choir, the Madrigals select choir, and the Concert Choir. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.

The third concert scheduled is the CCC Percussion Studio Concert on Tuesday, May 1. This concert will feature students in the percussion studio on solo recital pieces. Students in the CCC Novelty Percussion Ensemble, the CCC Udu Ensemble, Winter Drumline and West African Drum and Dance Ensemble will be performing. The percussion concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Choir Practice Room, located in the far northeast corner of Nellis Hall.

Admission to each concert is free. The CCC Instrumental Music Department is under the direction of Jeremy Kirk and the CCC Choral Music Director is John Gray.
