President Moley leads changes at CCC

As President Linda Moley got settled in her new post at Coffeyville Community College, several changes in staff have followed at CCC.  President Moley, who has been serving since September 20, 2010 as Interim President, has a long tenure with CCC.  Moley was first hired to coach Softball for the Red Ravens in 1994.  She later became Athletic Director for CCC.  Moley’s most recent post was serving as the Executive Vice President for Student Services.

“I am honored to have been given the opportunity to carry out the current strategic plan of the institution and wholeheartedly agree with our current mission statement.  In the weeks and months ahead, I look forward to working with our Board of Trustees to establish our dreams and direction for the College during the next decade,” said Moley.

President Moley has named Jill Koslosky the new Vice President of Student Services.  Koslosky has served as the Dean of Marketing, Recruiting and Advisement for the past 5 years.   Before coming to CCC, Koslosky worked for the University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture for five years as a faculty member and Admissions Director.  She has an Associate of Arts from Morgan Community College, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Colorado State University, Master of Science in Agriculture from Colorado State University.  Koslosky will graduate in December 2012 from the University of Maryland with a Doctorate of Management in Community College Administration and Policy.

"I look forward to the challenge of the student services position and the opportunity to learn from Linda Moley. I truly enjoy witnessing the dramatic changes in students in their first two years of college.  I believe community colleges are uniquely positioned to address the needs of a changing economy and we have the ability to adapt quickly and work closely with other educational entities as well as business and industry to help students succeed at all levels," said Koslosky.

Lisa Kuehn has been hired as the Marketing Director/Grant Writer for the Red Ravens.  Kuehn is a native of Coffeyville and an alumna of CCC.  Kuehn graduated from Oklahoma State University with her B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics.  She has a variety of experience in marketing from her employment at the Livestock Marketing Association, Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Coffeyville Area Community Foundation.

“I look forward to where CCC is going in the next few years.  Our increased capacity to serve the community in the form of traditional and technical education is exciting.  It is an honor to work for an institution that is dedicated to bringing our students the opportunities and tools to go above and beyond in their lives.  I am excited to be a part of this team,” said Lisa Kuehn.

The music department will have new leadership in place this year as well.  CCC has hired our new Instrumental Music Instructor, Jeremy Kirk.  Mr. Kirk’s previous teaching experience includes the public schools of Kansas and West Virginia as well as teaching percussion at Marshall University, where his duties included instructing and arranging for the nationally acclaimed Marching Thunder Drumline.

Kirk has also taught Applied Percussion and Percussion Methods courses, and served as Assistant Conductor/Guest Artist of the Percussion Ensemble and Master Drummer of the West African Drum & Dance Ensemble.

CCC is proud to introduce to our new Choral Music Instructor, John Gray.   Mr. Gray has been involved with ten musicals at CCC and four productions with the Coffeyville Children’s Summer Theatre.

He has directed musicals in the area including Disney’s Beuarty and the Beast, Disney’s Jungle Book Jr. and Annie Jr.   John has performed in many productions in the past and in 2009 he starred as the lead in the Neewollah production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.  John is currently pursuing his Masters in Music Education.
