CCC Awards Scholarships to Area Sixth Graders

Coffeyville Community College awarded area sixth grade students from Caney, Coffeyville and Tyro tuition scholarships to attend CCC after they graduate high school in 2022.  CCC started this program to motivate and encourage students to work hard in school while also giving back to the community.

“This is our way of investing in our community,” said Kris Adams, Director of Marketing. “At CCC, we believe a great education is a starting point to a successful future. We want to provide every child in our community with the opportunity to continue their education after high school.”

In order to collect on the scholarships, students must meet three criteria when they graduate from high school in 2022.  The student must graduate from a Montgomery County high school and earn a 2.5 GPA or higher to receive their scholarship.  Also, students must present their certificate/ticket at the time of admission to CCC.  Parents are encouraged to place the certificates/tickets in a safe location until the student graduates.  Students also received a Ravens t-shirt that had “Future Red Raven 2022” on the back.
