CCC Freshman Rayanndra Garoutte was selected as the February Member of the Month by the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College.  Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor Society of the two-year community college and vocational technical schools.  Garoutte’s major is art at CCC, but will be majoring in library science when she transfers to a four year college or university with emphasis on research and archiving.

Garoutte is an art department assistant at CCC and also works at the public library.  She serves Phi Theta Kappa as co-vice president of service.  Garoutte has assisted with chapter fundraisers and helped the chapter prepare Kansas Region Award applications.  Supporting Garoutte in her CCC endeavors are her mother Kathy Darbro of California, her grandmother Bonnie Darbro of Oak Valley, Kansas, and a brother Thomas Darbro of Coffeyville.
