Amy & Adams Retrace History with Folk Music

Amy & Adams trace the history of Tin Pan Alley which most agree has been the dominant force in American and perhaps World musical history. Their show traces the history of Tin Pan Alley which began around 1885 through its zenith in the 1920s, 30s, 40s & 50s.  They perform the classics by the well-known composers like Gershwin, Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg and Irving Berlin as well as playing homage to the less well-known composers.  Amy & Adams uses wonderful harmonies, and a tasty blend of guitars, mandolin, Ukuleles, woodwinds, and their own self-generated brass samples to update these classics to make for an engaging, educational, and just plain fun show.

Amy & Adams’ tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, September 26 at the Coffeyville Meal Site, Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27.
