Tom Kastle to Perform Songs and Stories of Waterways at CCC on Tuesday, Jan. 24th

Tom Kastle will kick off the Spring 2017 humanities performances at Coffeyville Community College.

Tom is a singer, songwriter, actor and sailor who has experienced waterways across the United States and from the Netherlands to New Zealand.  He will present songs and stories of the waterways from Mark Twain's mighty Mississippi to far off waters like the Essequibo in South America or England's Thames. 

He is a co-director of the Chicago Maritime Festival and a faculty member of the Old Town School of Folk Music.

Tom hosted a short documentary about the Battle of Lake Erie that was nominated for an Emmy Award, and recently played “Eddie” in Frozen Stage Films’ production of “Delight In the Mountain” with Tom Wopat (Dukes of Hazzard) and directed by Francisco Torres.

The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC.  The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.  For more information, call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
