Jed Marum to Feature 19th Century Popular American Music During Nov. 15th's Humanities Performance

Traditional and contemporary songs on guitar and banjo in a musical style that is both Celtic and American will take center stage on November 15 in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre at Coffeyville Community College. Jed Marum will focus on the immigrant and slave experience, 19th Century popular music and the American Civil War which covers a diverse range of American history in song.

A prolific singer, songwriter and performer, Marum brings American and Celtic folk music to festival, club and concert stages around the country. Since 1999, Marum has published over a dozen albums, licensed music to film and TV projects and works over 150 shows each year across the U.S.

Marum is known as a fine singer, a unique and talented player and an accomplished songwriter. His warm and personal style makes him a comfortable performer with a story to tell and gift for the telling.
