CCC Band Department to host Marching Percussion Master Class

Coffeyville Community College Band Department will host a Marching Percussion Master Class, on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, 8:00am-10:00am in Nellis East, Room 106. 

The Master Class will be taught by Kansas State University Marching Percussion Specialist Jack Johnson.

Jack Johnson is a Percussion Educator residing in Manhattan, Kansas. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in percussion performance at Kansas State University. Jack holds a bachelor's degree in organizational communication and a Music Minor from The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He has marched with Blue Stars, Pacific Crest, Minnesota Brass Indoor, and Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps. Jack is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kansas State University, where he serves as the Director and Arranger for the Kansas State University Drumline along with other administrative and educational duties with the marching band, concert ensembles and percussion ensembles.
 
Outside of K-State, Jack teaches the drumline at Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps based in Dimond Bar, California. He has previously served on the percussion staff at Colt Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, Minnesota Brass Indoor and has worked with numerous percussion sections in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, and Kansas. Additionally, Jack was the Percussion Arranger for the Blugold Marching Band (UW-Eau Claire) in 2019 and 2020."
