About Us
Coffeyville Community College (CCC) is a comprehensive public two-year institution of Higher Learning offering 30 academic programs, 21 technical programs, 17 certificate programs and 3 course certificates. Students can graduate from the College with one of the five Associate Degree options, including an Associate in Arts degree provided totally online through this program.
The College consists of three campuses and two high school locations consisting of 37 buildings on 34 acres: the Main Campus, the Coffeyville Technical Campus and the Columbus Technical Campus. The two high school campuses are located at Caney Valley High School and Labette County High School.
The College has a head count of approximately 1,823 students for the 2025 academic year. Approximately 66% of CCC students reside in Kansas with 66% of the 2025 graduates being Kansas residents. The College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and has a ten-year accreditation with a renewal again in the 2034-2035 school year. The College has been accredited since 1972. The College also participates in student aid programs directed by the U.S. Department of Education including Pell Grants, loans and work study.
The College provides numerous activities and athletic scholarships. The College also offers endowed scholarships, Presidential Scholarships for academically advanced students, Technical Scholarships for those attending the two technical campuses as well as Gold Card Scholarships, for community members over the age of 55 who desire to take interest classes tuition free.
The College is guided by a six-member Board of Trustees elected from the southern half of Montgomery County. The trustees serve four-year terms with public elections for half of the Board every two years. The Board sets College policy, budget, and determines the local property tax mill levy.
Coffeyville Community College (CCC) has once again been recognized by the ASPEN Institute College Excellence Program as one of the Top 200 U.S. Community Colleges eligible to compete for the 2027 ASPEN Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year institutions. Colleges selected for the Top 200 were eligible to apply for the $1 million ASPEN Prize, which is awarded to the institutions demonstrating the strongest overall performance and improvement.
This marks the third consecutive cycle in which CCC has been honored for its excellence in student outcomes, highlighting the college’s ongoing commitment to student success, community engagement, and educational quality. CCC has received this recognition for the fifth time within the past 14 years, having been acknowledged in 2013, 2019, 2023, 2025, and 2027.
CCC was named the 2025 Chamber Business of the Year by the Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce members. Coffeyville Community College has long been deeply rooted in the Coffeyville area, serving as an educational, cultural, and economic driver for the region. The College is supported by strong community partnerships and an engaged alumni base, with many graduates contributing directly to the local workforce and economic growth of Coffeyville and the surrounding areas.
