Head Softball Coach/Student Advisor/Instructor

The Head Softball Coach/Student Advisor is responsible to the Athletic Director for the entire management and administration of all phases of a varsity intercollegiate sports program and team within the guidelines, rules and regulations of Coffeyville Community College, the Kansas Jayhawk Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association.  Additionally, this individual will provide expertise and guidance in all three domains of learning; cognitive, affective and motor activities; including nutrition, health and wellness information as an example geared toward strength training, physical fitness, flexibility, agility, balance and power.

At least three year’s coaching/participation experience, preferably at the post-secondary level. Teaching experience preferred. Experience working with students with diverse backgrounds/life experiences. Master’s Degree preferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.  Bachelor’s degree is required.

Asst. Football Coach/Defensive Line/Student Advisor/Instructor

Assistant Director of Student Life

The Assistant Director of Student Life is responsible to the Student Life/Diversity & Inclusion Director for overseeing the students and operations of Walker/Powell Halls.   This is a full-time, 12 month, live-in position which includes being available twenty-four hours a day when individuals are housed in the facility.

At least two years of experience in a supervisor role. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.  A Master’s Degree is preferred.

Welding Instructor/Full-time/CVHS & Coffeyville Technical Campus

Technical instructional staff/faculty of Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the Dean of Career & Technical Education for instructional and personnel matters and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The Welding Instructor is responsible for assisting the Welding Program Director with the safety, security, and operation of the Coffeyville Technical Campus Welding Center.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Qualifications

  1. Proven teaching ability to communicate and demonstrate all welding procedures to all age groups and education levels.
  2. Ability to pass the following welding tests:  Stick and Tig 6G uphill, GMAW and FCAW 1G rollout downhill.
  3. Ability to obtain AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification within 2 years of accepting employment with the College.
  4. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  5. An understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college.
  6. An understanding of the role of advisory committees for program improvement.
  7. Ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students, both traditional and non-traditional.
  8. Willingness to assist with grant activities relating to the individual program area.
  9. Interest in student activities that occur outside the classroom and a willingness to participate in and attend college functions.
  10. Willingness to travel to recruit students for the program area.
  11. Within six months of the date of hire, required to maintain a physical place of residence within the CCC service area throughout their employment.

A minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college or technical school, or a minimum of five years of pipe welding experience in industry. Experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and workshops. A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in the teaching field is preferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  Industry-recognized certifications in the various Welding processes are required.

Groundskeeper

The groundskeeper shall be responsible to the Director of Grounds for all grounds maintenance and equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Personal Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  1. Must be able to follow instructions.
  2. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  3. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  4. Must be able to work with minimum of supervision.
  5. Knowledge of irrigation systems preferred.
  6. Knowledge of grounds chemicals preferred.

Required Experience in maintenance and repair of grounds and related equipment. High School Diploma, or its equivalent.  Prefer completion of a landscaping or horticulture program at a technical school, community college, or university, or comparable experience as a groundskeeper is preferred.

Accounting Instructor/Full-time

Instructional staff/faculty of Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the Vice President for Academic Services for instructional and personnel matters and fulfill the requirements outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.

A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in a community college. Experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and workshops and teaching experience with adults. Experience teaching distance education preferred. Public speaking and presentation experience. A Master’s Degree in the field required or held a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours within the discipline (Accounting or licensure CPA)

Asst. Athletic Trainer/Instructor 

The Assistant Athletic Trainer shall be responsible to the Head Athletic Trainer and will assist in all aspects of operating the Athletic Training program and facilities. This includes athletic training coverage for all CCC athletic teams, utilizing the six major athletic training practice domains, recruiting, supervising, and developing student workers.

Proven teaching and athletic training abilities. Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills. Be self-motivated Ability to effectively work with various publics and diverse populations. Human relation skills of ordinary courtesy, understanding, and ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students. Within six months of the date of hire, and throughout their employment, required to maintain a physical place of residence within the CCC service area.

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education. Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field, preferred. At least two years athletic training experience, preferred. NATABOC certified or eligible. Kansas State Licensure or eligible. Current CPR/First Aid Certification.

Allied Health Instructor - Columbus

The Allied Health Instructor at Coffeyville Community College is responsible to the Dean of Career and Technical Education and the Columbus Technical Campus Coordinator for instructional and personnel matters and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The Allied Health Instructor is responsible for the instruction of the Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medication Aide, Home Health Aide, and recertification courses as assigned and appropriately certified to teach. 

This position is specifically for classes taught through the Columbus Technical Campus, and classes are taught through Crawford County.

A minimum of two years licensed nursing clinical experience, and hold a Kansas RN or Oklahoma Multi-State RN license; at least 1,750 hours of clinical nursing experience must be as a Registered Nurse in a setting which demonstrates long-term nursing care, such as an adult care home, long term care unit of a hospital or a state institution for the mentally retarded or complete at least 7 hours online professional continuing education in “Person Centered Care for the Adult Care Home”; eExperience supervising nurse aides, experience teaching adults, complete a course in teaching adults or complete a professional continuing education offering on supervision or adult education; if teaching Home Health, must have a minimum of two years full-time licensed nursing experience (LPN or RN) including at least 1,750 hours as a licensed nurse in home health care services; experience in teaching adults or a professional continuing education offering on supervision or adult education, or shall have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.

A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in the field is required from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.  A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred.

Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor

Instructional staff/faculty of the Nursing Program at Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the Nursing Program Director for instructional and personnel matters, and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor is responsible for the clinical instruction of PN and RN core curriculum as assigned, and to ensure student success on state licensure. 

A minimum of two years clinical experience as an RN in a variety of healthcare settings; experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and/or continuing education workshops.

For PN clinical nursing instruction:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

For the RN clinical nursing instruction:  Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  

The Nursing Instructor must maintain a current RN license in Kansas or Multi-State Oklahoma license.

Custodian

The Custodian shall be responsible to the Maintenance Technician/Custodial Lead and the Director of Maintenance and Director of Housekeeping for the custodial maintenance of the physical plant of the college.

One year of related experience in custodial related activities.    Experience with team cleaning is preferred.  High school diploma or its equivalent, or comparable knowledge, skill, and mental development.

CDL Drivers

Coffeyville Community College strives to provide a safe and secure environment for its campus community members.
