Princess Atlantis children's novels to be presented at CCC
Coffeyville Community College Theatre Department's Director of Theatre and resident playwright, Mark Frank, will present his newly written seven novel series of children's books, Princess Atlantis and the Journey to the Enchanted Lands. The children books will be presented in a reader's theatre format with the actors also acting out the action.
The series of books follow the journeys of Atlantis Sinclair as she discovers she's a princess in a far away land and must battle the Spider King of Deep Earth to save the planet.
The abbreviated readings take place in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the main campus of on April 29-30 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. The production is rated G and a great production for children of all ages.
The audience will sit on stage with the actors with this production so only 120 seats are available for each performance. Each performance is free.
The cast includes Melissa Delftt, Ben Robinson, Sami Johnson, Brianna Cordova, Mead McMurphy, Marci Salinas, Clifford Lee, Mindy Barks, Jake Kaufman, Lauren Bell, Dalton Smith, Zach Bartz, Phil Morris, Randall Pike, Lauren Curley, Melaina Walker, Cody Easley, Randy Skidmore, Grant Davis, Brandon Jackson, Kody Halfihide, and Donald Houston. Kayle Stauhs, Holly Kennedy and Amber Long are the stage managers.
The production is an offical participating entry into Region VI American College Theatre Festival.
