Bruce and John Miller are brothers who have helped make a huge impact on the Coffeyville Community College (CCC) grounds. The Millers were named Red Raven Employees of the month in part due to their success with the grounds and willingness to work in what are often harsh weather conditions. John worked in the foundry for 20 years before moving to CCC six years ago. He enjoys working outside and making a difference. “John is a great employee who works super hard and has been very positive toward change,” said one nominator. Bruce has worked at CCC for over five years with nearly three as part of the grounds crew. He likes working with people and being outside. “Bruce has become an outstanding crew member who is an asset to the college and grounds crew,” said a nominator. In addition to planting and keeping the grass, flowers and trees looking good, the Millers also come in before dawn and stay late to spread salt and shovel snow so the faculty, staff and students have a clear path to their offices and classrooms in the winter time.
