38 donors including 24 first-time donors gave blood at the fall CCC Blood Drive on Sept. 2, 2020.

Coffeyville Community College hosted its fall Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, September 2, in Nellis Hall.

CCC's school nurse Teri Robinson said, “There were 44 scheduled appointments, 38 that were able to donate, and there were 24 first-time donors.”  Those who donated will receive a $5 Amazon gift card via e-mail and COVID-19 antigen test results in 7-10 days via the Red Cross Blood Donor app.

Robinson stated, “This event would not have been as successful without the help of our volunteers such Chartwell’s for donating beverages and snacks, and of course all the donors.  CCC made a big impact in the lives of people needing blood and blood products.”

The next blood drive at CCC will be held Thursday, Februray 11, 2021 from 10 a.m. -2 p.m.  Community members are welcome and encouraged to participate in this event.  Contact Teri Robinson at [email protected] for more information.
