Coffeyville Community College hosted Pratt Community College and the City of Coffeyville for an official renewing of the Electric Power Technology program articulation agreement between the three entities.
The partnership was created as a workforce development need for the City of Coffeyville in 2010. The City of Coffeyville contacted Coffeyville Community College expressing a need for lineman to fill vacancies within the city electric department. After reviewing the pros and cons of establishing a new program at CCC, Dr. Marlon Thornburg reached out to Pratt Community College and dialogue surrounding a partnership began. The original articulation agreement was signed on April 1, 2010. Representatives from the City of Coffeyville, Pratt Community College and Coffeyville Community College were on hand to continue this extraordinary relationship focused on addressing the workforce development needs of those in SEK.
