Coffeyville Community College’s Choir Department will host a free choral
festival for area schools on Thursday, January 19 from 8:30am to 4pm.  Participants will
spend the day rehearsing and preparing for a free community concert at 4:30pm in the
Spencer / Rounds Theatre.  Lunch will be provided for participants.  For more information,

“We are excited to be hosting singers from five area high school choirs (including Field
Kindley and Caney Valley) to participate in a festival where we will learn two full-choir
songs plus one women's piece and one men's piece.  It's a time to come together and
participate in a large choir comprised of approximately seventy-five singers.  We will end
the day presenting the songs we have learned in a concert for parents, campus personnel,
and the public. The concert will last approximately 25 minutes,” said Markel Porter,
Director of Choir.
