PTK and Student Life Food Drive with groceries and and a volunteer

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and Student Life are teaming up to make a positive impact in our community during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 10-18.. We are calling on all community members to participate by donating to two exciting sporting events in November. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

Don't miss the opportunity to support this noble cause at two thrilling events:

Football Game at Veterans Stadium
Date: Saturday, November 11th
Time: 1:00pm
Location: Veterans Stadium

Basketball Games in Nellis West Gym
Date: Saturday, November 18th
Time: Women’s Basketball – 2:00pm  |  Men’s Basketball – 4:00pm
Location: Nellis West Gym

Our goal is to collect non-perishable food items and other essentials that will benefit those experiencing hunger and homelessness in our community. Your contributions can make a significant impact on the lives of the less fortunate. We encourage everyone to participate in this meaningful initiative.

Items that we are seeking for donation include:
Canned goods (e.g., vegetables, soups, fruits)
Pasta and rice
Peanut butter and jelly
Cereal and oatmeal
Toiletries (e.g., toothpaste, soap, shampoo)
Blankets and warm clothing items

These donations will be distributed to local shelters and food banks, helping individuals and families in need. Please consider making a difference by bringing your donations to one or both of these exciting sporting events.

Suppose you cannot attend the games but still wish to contribute. In that case, we welcome drop-off donations at the Information Desk, located in the Student Union, during regular business hours, 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m., throughout the week of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
