Coffeyville Community College (CCC) invites area high schools to join us for our highly anticipated Spring Choir Festival on Thursday, January 23, 2025. This exciting event brings together talented young vocalists from across the region for a day of learning, collaboration, and performance. This year, we are honored to welcome the renowned Elise Peterson from Olathe Schools as our guest clinician. With a distinguished career conducting exceptional choirs, Ms. Peterson will guide students through sectional rehearsals, clinics,
and mass rehearsals, culminating in a public concert at 2:00 PM in the Spencer Rounds Theatre. The community is warmly invited to attend this free concert to enjoy an afternoon of incredible choral music and support these talented students.
The festival will feature choirs from:
- Oswego
- Nowata
- Dewey
- Field Kindley
- Labette County
- Coffeyville Community College
Musical Selections:
Participating choirs will perform one piece of their choosing and will also prepare two selections led by Ms. Peterson:
- Found Tonight by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Justin Paul, and Benj Pasek, arranged by Jacob Narverud
- Ad Astra arranged by Jacob Narverud
The Spring Choir Festival is a fantastic opportunity for high school students to engage with other choirs, refine their skills under expert guidance, and share their love of music with the community. CCC is proud to support and celebrate the musical talents of our area schools.
We look forward to welcoming the community to the 2:00 PM concert to enjoy this special performance!
