Coffeyville, KS – The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams spent this past weekend giving back in a unique way—joining the annual grape harvest at Osage Springs Vineyard. Players worked side by side with vineyard staff and community members, cutting grapes, hauling tubs, and sharing plenty of teamwork and laughter along the way.
Women’s Soccer SLM (Student Life Manager) Coach Eduardo “Eddie” Garcia was right there in the field with his players, matching their effort and setting the pace.
Community member Cindy Price shared her appreciation in a message to CCC President Dr. Marlon Thornburg: “I was at grape harvest at Osage Springs Vineyard this weekend and just wanted to let you know what good grape harvesters your soccer players are. They worked hard, were very respectful and were having fun. Coach Eddie was right there with them the whole time and worked just as hard. You and CCC should be proud!”
The event highlighted the Red Ravens’ strong connection to the community, as student-athletes continue to represent CCC with pride both on and off the field.
