The team brought home a Gold Medallion Award in the Wild Card category for its Athletic Social Media Templates and a Bronze Medallion Award in the Novelty category for the 100-Year Celebration Medallion.
Coffeyville, KS – The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Marketing Department earned top honors at the 2025 National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 5 Conference, held October 8–10 in Kansas City, Missouri. The team brought home a Gold Medallion Award in the Wild Card category for its Athletic Social Media Templates and a Bronze Medallion Award in the Novelty category for the 100-Year Celebration Medallion.
Representing CCC at the conference were Candace Morris, Interim Marketing Director, and Blayne Thornton, Media Production Specialist. The annual event brings together marketing professionals from community colleges across Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota to share ideas, collaborate, and celebrate excellence in higher education marketing. The two award-winning projects reflect CCC’s creative approach and strong collaboration across departments. The Athletic Social Media Templates, designed by Candace Morris, provide CCC athletic teams with easy-to-use, branded layouts for social media, helping ensure a cohesive and professional look across all Red Raven platforms. The 100-Year Celebration Medallion was created in partnership with Bookstore Manager Aaron Phillips and the CCC 100-Year Committee, who played key roles in designing and producing the commemorative piece that honored the college’s centennial milestone.
“I’m really proud of our team and the work we’ve done this year,” said Candace Morris. “It takes a lot of collaboration and creativity to bring these ideas to life, so it’s nice to be appreciated for that effort.”
The NCMPR Medallion Awards honor outstanding achievement in community and technical college marketing and public relations at the district level. Since first attending the NCMPR District 5 Conference in 2022, CCC’s Marketing Department has continued to grow through new ideas, innovative practices, and trends that enhance the college’s visibility and strengthen its connection with the community.
Vice President of Student Services, Ryan McCune, praised the CCC Marketing team, stating, “The recognition from NCMPR is a testament to the passion and innovation our team brings every day. Their work helps share the Red Raven pride and spirit with the world.” Building on this success, the CCC Marketing Department continues to strengthen its mission of promoting the college’s values, supporting student success, and proudly representing the Red Raven spirit in all it creates.
