Coffeyville, KS — Coffeyville Community College’s Humanities Program will welcome acclaimed Americana singer-songwriter Pi Jacobs for a live performance on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.
Jacobs draws inspiration from an unconventional upbringing in Northern California, where she was raised among what she describes as “radical hippies, bohemians, and nerds.” That diverse background has shaped a sound rooted in authenticity, blending roots-rock influences with vivid, story-driven songwriting.
Signed to Los Angeles-based Blackbird Record Label, Jacobs released her latest album, Soldier On, in 2024. The album quickly earned a spot in the Americana Music Association Top 50, where it remained for more than 16 weeks. Her music has been featured by NPR, Americana Highways, and American Songwriter, and she was selected as an official showcasing artist at the 2024 Americana Music Festival.
Known for intimate, compelling live performances, Jacobs has been compared to artists including Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. Performing with her Gibson guitar, a homemade stomp box, and a powerful, expressive voice, she creates dynamic shows that emphasize connection and storytelling.
This performance is part of CCC’s Humanities Series, which brings professional artists and cultural experiences to campus while enriching learning opportunities for students and the community. All Humanities Program events are FREE and open to the public.
The concert will take place at Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the Coffeyville Community College campus.
