CCC Humanities Program Welcomes Musical Duo The Squirrel Hillbillies

Coffeyville, KS — Coffeyville Community College’s Humanities Program will welcome musical duo The Squirrel Hillbillies for a live performance on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.

From Pittsburgh’s East End, The Squirrel Hillbillies share an eclectic mix of acoustic roots music, spanning folk, country, and blues. Named after their hometown neighborhood, Jenny Wolsk and Gary Crouth have earned airplay around the world with their recordings. Their shows combine heartfelt storytelling with playful energy, drawing audiences into the rich traditions of Americana music.

Jenny (vocals, uke, mando, bass, percussion) grew up in Greenwich Village and began performing in musical theater at age 10. Her interest in harmony and arranging developed in college, and she is now fully immersed in Americana—though she still enjoys singing along to popular music with her daughters. Her versatile voice brings warmth and charm to every song she performs.

Gary (vocals, guitar, uke) discovered guitar in fifth grade and studied with a local master. His style blends traditional and contemporary acoustic music, early country, and ’60s pop, rooted in the musical dirt of his past. With a playful stage presence and a deep respect for roots music, he connects effortlessly with audiences wherever he plays.

This performance is part of CCC’s Humanities Program, which brings artists, performers, and cultural experiences to campus to enrich learning and engagement for students and the community. All Humanities Program events are FREE and open to the public.

The performance will take place at Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the Coffeyville Community College campus.
